![]() | Blade Runner: The Director's Cut Simply my favorite film. It is beautifully directed and what starts out as a simple cop story takes on a wider theme. This film is very much what science fiction should be and none have been able to surpass it. Of course, if you plan to see it, make sure it's in wide-screen and make sure you see the director's cut. |
![]() | Ran One of Akira Kurosawa's last films, Ran is a retelling of Shakespeare's King Lear. It is incredibly and beautifully filmed. The movie is worth watching for the battle sequences alone. Again! Make sure you see it in wide-screen, and perferrably on the big screen |
![]() | Prospero's Books I love Peter Greenaway's films. His retelling of The Tempest is my favorite. It is beautiful to watch - definate for a wide screen viewing - and it's entralling to understand what is going on. To be honest, I really didn't understand the movie until I saw The Tempest on Broadway with Patrick Stewart. |
![]() | Farewell My Concubine By China's Kaige Chen, this is an epic film spanning a view of Chinese history from the 1930's to the early 70's concerning two Opera singers. It is again wonderfully filmed and powerful to watch as the protagonists are affected by the changing times |
![]() | Monty Python's Life of Brian I love Monty Python, and this is definately their funniest film. It's an absolute riot! |
